How can I get to the SONISPHERE festival near Zurich?
Hi, I am an American that will be in Paris for a few weeks over the summer with my girlfriend. I bought 2 tickets and camping to the Sonisphere Festival near Zurich. I have it all figured out as far as getting to Zurich but when I go to look at the train schedules to get to the actual site of the festival I can not find one in english or french. If anyone knows where I could get this information in either english or french or if you have any advice that would be great. Thanks!

What day are the weekend campers supposed to arrive to the SONISPHERE festival?
I know I sound stupid but on my ticket it says the start time is 12pm on the saturday, Ive looked at the Sonisphere website on the free coach travel page and the coaches leave on the friday around midday. Could someone make it clear for me when I need to arrive please? Haha. Thank you!
Answer: the FAQ's on the website say that camping opens at midday friday. For people who have the earlybird ticket they can go in on the thrusday.
'Early entry camping permits you onto site from Thursday afternoon but there is some mention on the website of the standard camping tickets only permitting entry onsite at midday on the Friday. Is this correct?

Im planning to camp next year (2012) with my friend at Sonisphere but we are worried about tent size. Like, we want a 4 man tent but is it hard to find a space big enough for larger tents?

Answer: Right.. there are two big campsites (excluding rock royalty, family and disabled).. the blue campsite (which is larger and located right next to the arena) and the red campsite (which has the blue campsite between it and the arena). The best advice I could ever give you is to spend the extra £10 for a 4 day camping ticket and turn up on the Thursday in the afternoon to pitch your tent (last 2 years campsite opened around 3 so we got there at about 1). This way you can pitch as many tents as you like, wherever you like.. last 2 years we had a large circle of tents with between 10-15 people each year, pitched where we wanted. Early entry pretty much fills up the blue campsite with only space enough for 1 or 2 (tops 3) man tents scattered inbetween other people's. But as long as you turn up at a reasonable time on the Friday, you should have your choice of the red campsite. In my opinion early entry is well worth the extra money tho, because it's less hassle, you get better choice and more space and you can get happily wasted on the first night, with plenty of time to nurse your hangover the next day, as Friday is only a half day of music :P

Why is there no access to the SONISPHERE Festival from Knebworth Rail Station?
On the Sonisphere official website there is a section on how to get to the Knebworth site. Even though Knebworth rail station is the closest station to the festival site, it tells you to use Stevenage rail Station and says there is "no festival access" from Knebworth station. Does anyone know why this is.
Answer: Also lots and lots of trains stop at Stevenage. Not so many at Knebworth. As has been said buses will run to site and there will be lots more taxis at Stevenage. There really is not much difference is miles (2 or so?)between Site and either rail station.

how much do the showers cost to use at SONISPHERE?
Im looking to get tickets for Sonisphere festival in the uk this year but i noticed that on the camping information it states that the showers are payable on site. does anyone know approximately how much it will cost to use the showers? im confused as i went to download last year and they do not charge for use of the showers.
Answer: They'll cost around £2.50 to use, but i wouldn't recommend them tbh as a lot of ppl use them constantly and especially if it rains lol.
