Answer: I am a fan of the saying anything can do anything if they work hard enough. I doubt the first job you get is something like Hannah Montana. But start small. Audition for a play at school, don't be afraid to mess up. Start taking voice lessons. Start dancing. Work hard. Start in community theatre and gradually go higher and higher. And don't let anyone shatter your dream. (yes, I know i'm corny)

Answer: You need an agent. Your agent will send you out on auditions. There is no way of you knowing without an agent/manager.

Feb. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Walt Disney Co., owner of the ABC broadcast network, is in talks with Univision Communications Inc. to create an English-language 24-hour cable-news channel, according to two people with knowledge of the situation.
Is DISNEY CHANNEL the reason for this egotistical and rude generation?
Almost every show on Disney channel have somewhat snobby characters and show kids that they are worth something. However, are they "inspiring" the kids too much?
Answer: It's not just the Disney channel. Even commercials encourage the rude behavior that would have had our parents smacking our mouths. Watch any tv show during prime time that is geared toward families, or involves families, and they ALL show the kids acting like their parents don't know anything about them or growing up. How could they possibly relate. They talk back, talk behind their parents back (okay, I'll admit, we all did that!)
I think the biggest source of kids bad behavior stems back to the idea that parents should be friends with the kids. Nope. Not until they move out! As long as they live under your house, they should live under your rules. (Sound familiar? It's true though!) And in order to live under your rules, you have to be the parent FIRST,.
The two commercials that make me the maddest: the cell phone company that had dad telling his daughter that their new plan didn't cover "derek's with long hair, etc, etc" making him look stupid and petulant; and the Tide stain release commerical with the little girl fussing about getting her sister's hand me down's instead of the "only $100" jeans she wanted since her mom had gotten the barbecue stain out. I almost think the commericals are worse that the tv shows because they rotate on and off all day and week, so they get stuck in the kids head more firmly.

Is it me or DISNEY CHANNEL is getting really bad?
Ok I have noticed lately that Disney channel is getting worst and worst every year. I mean I feel like they are running out of ideas. And I really dont know why people even watch Disney channel its not even funny. The jokes they tell are either really rude or just plain old stupid. And why does every Disney star have to sing. None of them are even good so why make them sing. About 17% of the people on Disney can sing. So my question is Disney channel getting bad?
Answer: I'm in complete agreement. Maybe it's because I'm getting older, but I find the shows humorless and sometimes unbearably stupid. And the whole singing thing is getting way out of hand. Just because you're in a show, doesn't mean you have to sing too. I'm assuming they think it'll sell better, but it just makes everything seem cheap.

It has to do with the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission : "The CRTC regulates all Canadian broadcasting and telecommunications activities and enforces rules it creates to carry out the policies assigned to it; the best-known of these is probably the Canadian content rules."
"Canadian content (abbreviated cancon or can-con) refers to the requirements that radio and television broadcasters (including cable/satellite specialty channels) must air a certain percentage of content that was at least partly written, produced, presented, or otherwise contributed to by persons from Canada."
So basically because probably 100% of the content of shows on the Disney channel is created by Americans, it is filtered as the Family Channel in Canada. It's kinda of wonkey because there are other channels (like HBO) which have a high percent of American content but are still available here. I think a lot of it has to do with politics and cash.
But yeah, unless you know someone who can hook you up illegally, you're out of luck. Sorry :(

Is DISNEY CHANNEL, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network different in different countries?
Zack and Cody is to Disney channel here - so would that apply to Japan or Australia? Do they have Disney channel stars there?
Answer: Yes, and some shows that may air on Cartoon Network here may air on Disney channel somewhere else. An example is George of the Jungle 2007, it aired on CN here but in other countries aired on Disney channel. And they also have the appropriate languages for each show with different actors.

There was a movie I used to watch on the Disney channel, maybe in 2001 or 2001, that had Linda Cardellini in it. In the movie, two sisters changed places because of a wish they both made on a star. They lived as eachother. One was popular, the other smart. I have been looking up "Wish upon a Star" or whatever, but I cant find it. Does anyone remember or know? Any way to block all channels except for the DISNEY CHANNEL from my kids?
My 17 year old should only be watching Disney but I CONSTANTLY catch him watching other shows. I get tired of punishing him so how can I block all channels aside from Disney? My wife and I only watch Disney channel anyway so it wouldnt hurt us to block the other garbage for us either! Thanks!
Answer: Wow, just wow. He is a normal 17 year old boy. Most 17 year old boys do not like that crap called Disney channel. Normal 17 year olds like REAL television. He is almost an adult for crying out loud, stop treating him like a baby. Let him watch what he wants. I bet he can't wait to turn 18 and get the hell out of there.
