Answer: 1 1/3 cups flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
4 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup chocolate chips (morsels)
1/2 cup peanut butter chips
2-4 servings, up to 25 minutes
How to do it:-
Preheat griddle.
Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
Mix together liquid ingredients and wisk into dry mixture until smooth.
Fold in the peanut butter& chocolate chips.
Pour 1/4 cup batter for each pancake onto hot greased griddle.
Cook until the bubbles that form on top begin to pop, before flipping, then cook a minute or so more.
Serve immediately topped with whipped butter& syrup.

Why would a PANCAKE RECIPE call for 2 percent milk instead of whole?
Want to try a new Pancake recipe but the instructions say 2 percent milk and I was wondering why.
Answer: It is probably a modern recipe altered to cut down on fat intake.
I have never worried about what kind of milk to use in my Pancake recipe and have used anything from whole milk to reconstituted dry milk. My recipe also calls for oil so the fat in the milk never came into the equation.

Answer: Max's Simple yet Tasty Pancakes
1 cup self-raising flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons vanilla essence(optional)
1. Mix all the ingredients together.
2. Preheat a frying pan on the stove, use medium heat.
3. Pour batter into frying pan making approximately 4 inch diameter circles.
4. Check the underside of the pancakes to see how well done they are.
5. Flip the pancakes over when they're golden brown on the underside. Too brown and they're a bit overcooked.
6. They should be done when both sides are golden brown.
7. Serve with any topping of your choice. I prefer ice cream, or thickened cream (double cream) and syrup.

3 egg yolks
1 2/3 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. soft butter
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Beat egg yolks. Add buttermilk and baking soda. Add flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and soft butter. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour batter onto hot griddle or pan.

I have a Pancake recipe that I like, but was wondering how would I need to change the proportions if I want to make a double or triple batch. Do I need less baking powder for instance?

Answer: Yes, you can just double, but a cook's 'feel' is important in judging how the batter looks. Sometimes a little less milk is needed or if your flour has a lower moisture content you might need more.
I would go ahead and double everything except the milk and see how the ingredients integrate before adding more. If you have a good reference point of the viscosity of the batter from this recipe, then just start adding enough milk (it should be somewhat close to a 'doubling') to replicate that consistency and I think you will be fine.

Example:
PANCAKE
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt (not needed)

1 teaspoon melted butter or oil
Flour + fat + sugar = 16 T + 1/3 T + 0 T = 16.3 Tablespoons
COOKIE
Sugar Cookie Recipe
1 1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup shortening or butter*
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 1/4 cups flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Flour + Fat + Sugar = 24 T + (16 x 2/3) T + 52 T = 86.66 Tablespoons
The ratio is (86.66 / 16.3) = 5.3
Multiply the Pancake recipe quantities, except flour, fat, and sugar.

Next, replace the flour, sugar, and fat quantities with those from the cookie recipe:

That should do it. You can round the quantities that are in ugly amounts.
Now, you might already know that you can't really convert the quantities in recipes. That is because the baking process has so many uncertainties. You always have to test a recipe to determine whether it works or not.
Notice the baking soda is much different in the combined recipe than it is in the original cookie recipe. You should probably stick with the original amount of baking soda.
Make a small batch of this recipe and see how it works--it will not be satisfactory. Then adjust the ingredients to match your wishes. More flour will make it more bread-like. More sugar will make it crisper. More fat will make it denser and flatter.
Also, be sure that you use all purpose flour for cookies instead of cake flour or pancake flour, since these will give crumbly results.

Im making blueberry pancakes tomorrow for my home economics class. The girl Im making them with says its okay to just use a regular Pancake recipe (eggs, milk, flour etc) and add in blueberries. Will this be okay? Will it make the pancakes soggy?

Answer: Yes, it will work just fine. If you don't want the batter to turn bluish, pour the pancake batter in the pan and then drop blueberries on the batter. This is harder and not necessary though. Plus then when you flip them the blueberries might get a little overcooked. But either way will work. Good luck! You will do great!

2 cups whole wheat flour
4 teaspoons baking powder

2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 medium apple - peeled, cored and chopped
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Combine the eggs, milk, honey and oil; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Add apple.
Pour batter by 1/3 cupfuls onto a hot nonstick skillet coated with nonstick cooking spray. Turn when bubbles form on top; cook until second side is golden brown.
Nutritional Analysis: 2 pancakes equals 246 calories, 5 g fat (1 g saturated fat), 73 mg cholesterol, 416 mg sodium, 43 g carbohydrate, 5 g fiber, 11 g protein. Diabetic Exchanges: 2 starch, 1 lean meat, 1/2 fruit.

I felt like making pancakes, but when I started looking online for a recipe I see that they all use baking powder, which I dont have. Is it possible to make pancakes without baking powder? Does anyone have a recipe?

Chocolate stuffed french toast
Ingredients:
French bread
chocolate chips or chunks/morsels/etc
5 eggs
1 C milk
1 ts each cinnamon & vanilla
The night before you want to serve this:
Cut a loaf of French Bread into very thick slices. In each slice make a 3/4" cut to make a pocket. Spoon 2 heaping ts chocolate into the pocket. Close pocket with a pinch of the bread.
Place into greased 9x13" baking dish. Mix up the eggs, milk & cinnamon/vanilla. Cover & refrigerate overnight.
Preheat oven to 400F. Bake 20-25 minutes uncovered.

12 slices day old bread
3 Hersheys milk chocolate candy bars - no nuts
3 eggs
1 cup milk
2 Tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon sugar

Break each candy bar in half - the short way. Grate just a little chocolate (no more than a half teaspoon off of each piece and save in a small bowl for later.

Layer six slices of bread horizontally over the egg mixture. Place one piece of candy bar in the center of each piece of bread. Top each slice with remaining pieces of bread like sandwiches. Pour the remaining egg mixture over the sandwiches. Let this stand for at least 5 minutes so the bread can absorb the egg mixture.
On a griddle or in a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Fry sandwiches until golden brown on both sides. Add an addition 2 teaspoons of butter mid-way, if cooking in batches.
To serve, cut each sandwich diagonally. Dust with confectioner's sugar and sprinkle with chocolate shavings.

Chocolate Syrup
Strawberries (sliced)
Whip Cream (Chocolate or regular)

Mix cake mix according to directions. Using a Belgium Waffle maker, use one ladle of cake mix per waffle. After waffle is cooked, place on a plate, put
strawberries, & chocolate syrup. Top with whipped cream & grated chocolate.

Preheat waffle iron.
Melt butter in a sauce pan. Remove from heat and stir in cocoa. Mix in the sugar, eggs and water. Add the flour and salt, beating well. Stir in the nuts.
In each well of the waffle iron, add 1 well rounded spoonful. Cook brownie in waffle iron as you would cook waffles. Sprinkle confectioners' sugar over warm waffle brownies.

Cream Cheese Biscuits Good w/chocolate gravy
2 cups Bisquick or other baking mix
4 ounces cream cheese
1/2 to 1 tablespoon milk
These biscuits are extra simple, but they are a perfect match with chocolate gravy. Combine Bisquick or other baking mix and cream cheese. A pastry blender works beautifully. Add enough mik to moisten the dough. It’s really a preference thing. Put the dough on a lightly floured surface, and knead it a few times. Roll out the dough to whatever thickness you like, cut out, and place on a greased/sprayed/Silpat-ed baking sheet.
The number of biscuits is based on the thickness of your rolled out dough & the size of the cutter. So from 6 to 12. Bake at 425 for about 12 minutes or until browned.

4 tbs. unsweetened cocoa powder

Is there any way to add blueberries to a PANCAKE RECIPE so that the pancake batter cooks through?
Ive tried recipes that say the blueberries should be folded into the batter but this doesnt always work. Even though I oil and heat the griddle the pancake is still raw inside where the blueberries are. Anyone have some tips? Even better a good recipe to make think, light pancakes suitable for adding blueberries?
Answer: Just add the blueberries after you pour the pancake batter on your cooking surface like everyone else said.
Some things to keep in mind are the thicker the batter, the longer it will take to cook, so if you are like me and like really thick ones, try cooking over lower heat. This even works for me when I use frozen blueberries.
Also, many people say to cook at a higher heat than you need..disregard what the recipe you are using says..a nice med low heat will work for sure, but you will need more patience. This will not work that well if you have a really thin batter though, as the pancake will spread too thin before it sets up at all.

How to make a PANCAKE RECIPE smaller?
The recipe Im using to make pancakes with this mix is:
2 cups of the baking mix
1 large egg
1 1/3 cups of milk
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
And Im supposed to use 1/4 cup for each pancake. This recipe makes a lot of pancakes, how can I make a smaller amount of mixture without the ingredients messing up or for them to still taste right?
Answer: It's tricky with eggs. I would just make them all and then freeze the rest. That way you wont have to make breakfast later. They microwave well. Make sure to wrap each serving well in saran wrap, and then all together in aluminum foil or a ziplock bag.

I need a really easy Pancake recipe that gives 9 pancakes. Can anyone help?
Answer: Just get a box of Bisquick and add milk or water (your preference) until you get the desired consistency. This is easy because you can always make more batter if you run out.
Edit: If you like, you can also add a little vanilla or almond extract for flavor. I personally don't like my pancakes made with eggs, they come out too cake like for my taste.
