They were playing a music video by Adele a little while back, and still show it every so often, but I cant remember what it was. Why is the singer ADELE considered a pop artist?

On iTunes, Adeles songs are listed in the Pop genre. Why is that? I absolutely love her songs, but they dont really give off the pop vibe to me. Do they to you? Just curious.
Answer: She is a pop artist. Even she says so. Not every artist who is a pop artist sounds a certain way. Most of them do, though. Remember, pop stands for popular music. You'll hear somewhat of a variety of music on top 40 music stations if you listen long enough, but they're all technically pop. Songs like Rolling In the Deep appeal to a vast audience. It's catchy, which is essentially what makes a pop song a pop song. I'm sure Rumour Has It will do well, too. I don't care for that song, though. I love Rolling In the Deep and most of 21. Great album.
