Answer: Uk weather is very unpredictable. It varies from North to South and from East to West in the UK. At the moment it is quite hot all over the UK about 24C in the day and dropping to about 12C at night. I will be warm most days until end of september but it rains off and on and it is difficult to tell when it is going to rain from one day to the next. coming up to December it can one year be mild and another year it can have a few weeks of freezing weather. We do not have much snow really but you can never tell! Sorry I can't be more precise but that's the way it is. That is why people in this country often talk about the weather when first starting a conversation with someone. If you come over here you will have to get used to that! But welcome if you are coming. There is so much to see in this country anyway that the weather will become insignificant after a while. Definitely buy an umbrella though!

Answer: It is always snowing somewhere ! but the UK highlands,Welsh mountains and cornish moors are the most likely places to get snow this christmas......it is too early to predict as weather patterns and winds can change....slow or speed up,some weather like storms can hold or blow out even when all the signs are contrary to that outcome....it is not an exact science,just probabilities offered on data available.......most of the time the weather predictions are not far out,but there are variables.

Answer: The El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) was called such because it is a weather pattern observed first by Peruvian fishermen around Christmas or, the Child's Birth (el niño meaning, the child).
From that we observed that it also affected Australia and it is a cyclic oscillation of about five years that follows also the sea current and temperature in the southern Pacific. After that we also noticed other oscillations like the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) that is attributed to the difference between the so-called Azores high and the Icelandic low pressures.
Most likely all those oscillations are interactive but we haven't yet entirely mapped their global effect or interaction. So, in a sense, you can say that the ENSO influences the weather in the UK but then, it is not a direct cause to effect.
Everything goes in oscillations in the universe and nothing is static. Even Einstein agreed to that. The sea currents form a gigantic circulation called the thermohaline circulation, also known as the oceanic conveyor belt. The moon and the sun moves the sea in semi-diurnal cycles but also in neap and spring water. Some of those cycles only reproduces once every four and half years. Our climate, the ice ages, etc. also move in cycles. Nothing is static.
But El Niño / La Niña are catchy words that get very much focus on the media lately. Yet it is still not able to tell us if we will get much snow this winter, or not.

Could you give me some advice please. I want to know about the solar collector evacuated tube. Are they strong enough? I heard that some of this tube are explode or break when it get very hot. I want to know how reliable they are. Are they work in Uk weather or not or is it a waste of money, because most of the time is cloudy. If it does work how many tube require to heat 210 litres water cylinder
Answer: this is what i do for a living.
Yes evacuated tubes etc WILL work,BUT flat plat panels are just as good these days. The problem with most tube design is that they are self limiting at a relatively low temp, so in the summer they will "switch off" once they reach a certain temp, where flat plates will keep transferring the energy to your water until it reaches a programmed cut off which is quite high but safe.
There was a few cases of tubes exploding when they got too hot, not heard about that for a few years now though, problem seems to be fixed. Tubes only last (usually) 10 years, where flat plates will last 25+.
2 flat plates will be good for 210 L AND won't need replaced!

What methods could be used to predict the UK WEATHER for August?
After the feeble attempts of the forecasters to predict the Uk weather with any degree of accuracy for July, I am sure someone out there could do better. Forget modern techonology; what signs do you rely on to predict the weather?
Answer: Next time you are at the beach, see if you can find some of that seaweed with small bladders along it's length. Take some of this home with you and hang it up in a window somewhere. It acts as a very accurate barometer. When the bladders are hard, this means high pressure and when they are soft = low pressure. Of course, this only tells you what's likely to happen where you live. So, in order to know what it's going to be like at the coast, you'll need a contact who has a similar bunch of seaweed. All you do then is phone them up and ask about their seaweed weather indicator thing.
Thus, if the entire nation had a home-made seaweed weather indicator station, we could all go online and give an accurate forecast for our particular area then we'd know which places to avoid etc.

Is there any real difference between the UK WEATHER and the weather of the West Coast of Canada?
By the West Coast of Canada, I mean the area of Vancouver and Vancouver Island, of course. Theyre very similar weather-wise.
Im quite content with our weather, I think it has a nice balance. So I dont understand why people diss the UK for its "depressing" weather...but maybe thats just me.
Answer: i think BC has very similar weather to the UK. Personally living in an area that gets warm and sunny somewhat often I would find the weather in BC or the UK a little depressing if I was their for long period of time. The good thing is that winters are usually very mild in both the UK and BC considering their latitude, but I love the heat so I wouldnt want to really live their for their weather. the heat that you are recently getting must be pretty nice though.

But seriously! No answers like "everywhere" please! I think about place in UK similar to Seattle in US. Place where you can see cloudy sky at least 300 days in year, even in summer. When sun is REALLY rare thing to see.
