How did AMIR KHAN beat Maidana, rules please?
After seeing a boxing fight for almost the first time, it appeared to me that it was Amir khan who took most of the beating and yet won in the end. How does this work?
I wanted Amir to win so no offence on the language above, just that it appeared he was more on the defensive rather than punching his opponent. So I was wondering if the number of punches thrown at the opponent is what determines the score.
Answer: Well since it was you're first boxing fight maybe you do not understand the points system here. I watched the fight and saw Khan just beat Maidana for pretty much the whole fight with his speed....until the later rounds where Maidana came back with a powerful flurry of punches almost scoring a KO but didn't finish it off. The fights take place on points systems...2points for the winner of each round, and 1 point to the loser....Khan dominated this fight, and you may have not seen that due to Maidana landing more of the bigger powerful punches in the later rounds or so....it doesn't matter at the end if it looks like Khan took a lot more damage than his opponent because it's all about who is landing more punches each round, combinations,etc. Khan clearly won almost every round decisively except for a few...and not to mention he scored a body show Knock Down on Maidana, and then Maidana also lost a point due to him trying to throw an elbow.
Many fights it's tough for you to tell who actually won at the end of the fight due to it being very close to call...it could be a draw or they hand it to the wrong guy many times....but this fight was very clear to see Khan won it hands down, all judges agreed and I think everybody in that arena and who watched it seen Khan dominate the fight fully, and Maidana and everyone else knew he needed the KO to win and he didn't get it so he lost

Who is Britains best prospect out of the following 3 - AMIR KHAN, Andy Murray or Lewis Hamilton?
Ive thought about this carefully and Ive come to the conclusion that Lewis Hamilton will be the biggest of the three.
I think Amir khan has the mental toughness but lacks the talent to win in America. Andy Murray has the talent but lacks the mental fortitude in my opinion.
Lewis Hamilton has both the talent and the mental toughness.
Answer: Amir khan is the better overall boxer. Khan is a skilled boxer with a pretty good powerpunch and will be even better in the future. The only thing that worries me about Khan is;....I don't know if his chin is good enough when he steps up in class. If that's the case, then he's no future champ that's for sure. He also needs to work on his defense, but he's definitely the best British prospect out there.
It's going to be very interesting to see in the future how Amir handles a boxer who can punch, because so far all of his opponents have been featherfisted with very few KO's and some have never even won a fight by KO. Maybe his team know something we don't.

Answer: I feel that he would get a rematch against Khan, though Khan is not going to fight Prescott like he did the first time.

Answer: Marcos Rene Maidana was Amir khan's biggest challenge in boxing. Khan
was up on the score cards however, in the 10th round Amir khan got caught
up when Marcos Maidana unleashed a flurry of power punches that hurt Amir
Khan in that round sending him wobbling towards the ropes if Maidana would
of continued the pressure and kept throwing those punches against the ropes
we might of seen a late 10th Round TKO stoppage. Amir khan was in trouble
in deep trouble that round and was lucky to have escaped with a 12 decision.
Lamont Peterson is underrated and he has a good advantage going into that
fight this fight will be taking place in Washington D.C. in Lamont's hometown
so, the majority of the fans will be rallying for Lamont Peterson. Amir khan he
doesn't have a fan base like Ricky Hatton where his loyal fans from the United
Kingdom would fly across the globe to go see their favorite boxer fight. That is
going to be Amir khan's last fight at 140 after that he will be fighting up at 147
Welterweight division. Peterson did put up a good fight against Bradley though.

Frank Warren made a huge offer to team Khan to make what would be a huge showdown with Kell Brook in Britain but Amir has quickly dismissed it and is looking likely to face Lamont Peterson.Im very disappointed with this decision.Is Khan avoiding Kell?
Answer: The commercial revenue for a possible fight with Kell Brook will not be of interest in the States. Currently Kell Brook has not established himself yet on the global stage, if he beats Mike Jones and defends his title, a future fight between the two would be great. So far Kell Brook has not fought anyone of 'name' as of yet, not saying that he is not a good fighter. I think he is great but he needs to introduce himself too the American public by beating Mike Jones first and then fight a couple of guys out there, and then a possible fight with Khan will be on the cards.
Im a huge fan of both and I think a fight in the future would be great. In all honestly, I think Kell Brook should leave Warren because his true assets will not be highlighted too the world, and Warren is known for protecting his fighters. Khan has moved away and done a great job so far and the world is thriving on 'Khan Mania' at the moment, I think Kell would be just as great world fighter but Warren will halt his progress just like he has done with Joe Calzaghe.

How strong is the chance of Zab Judah winning against AMIR KHAN?
Because I have a feeling that a 100% Zab Judah will show up that night does Amir khan have the Ring IQ to capitalize on a focus Zab Judah.
Answer: My thoughts on Khan/ Judah unification fight:
I see everyone is dismissing Zab already. I don't see this as an easy fight for either guy. I do give Khan a lot of credit for making this fight. Khan is a young gun who is only getting better (more complete) under Freddie Roach. He has reach, power, and good work rate. He does have flaws too. Prescott and Maidana proved he can be hurt. He also seems to not have the best stamina in the game.
Zab is a very good boxer. He is a 2-time Jr Welterweight champion (his best weight) and he has been the undisputed Welterweight Champion. He has speed, KO power, he's a southpaw who is skilled and if we learned anything from Cotto/ Judah he also has heart. I am not sure where this quitter, runner idea of him comes from. He's a 5 time champion and at 33 he is A) on the comeback winning the IBF Jr Welterweight title...and B) getting a second wind (maybe getting better) under the tutaliage of Pernell Whittaker, who is making him more of a mindful boxer who thinks of defense too. To me, the worst of Zab has always been when he hasn't been focused mentally. I have never seen him more mentally focused than in his last 2 bouts. For him, this is a great oppertunity. He isn't old. he could be a problem for Khan.
This fight is very exciting to me. I can't pick a winner, but the Khan blowout talk is going to be proven to be a mistake I think. Zab has a chance here.

do you agree that mayweather vs AMIR KHAN could be a possible fight this year?
Now seeing that the PBF vs pacquaio fight is off. I think mayweather should fight Amir khan, because PBF is looking for a good fight and possibly someone smaller, and considering khan is taller but he is not as built as mayweather, this puts khan in a good position to fight PBF. Do you think this could be a possible fight for Floyd this year.
Answer: Freddy Roach trains Amir khan and Floyd Mayweather plans to fight on March 13 just as Manny Pacqauio meaning Roach can be in two places in the same time. IT would be nearly impossible for Roach to train Manny and Amir for to mega fights at the same time.
With that being said Amir khan isn't ready for Floyd Mayweather and a fight like this would be a complete mismatch. So many fans are critical of who Floyd Mayweather fights and to fight a inexperienced fighter like Amir khan would only hinder his image.
