i have a normal Giffgaff sim and i want to put it in my iphone 4. if i cut it into a micro sim and put it in will the 3g and sim work
Answer: i suppose it will but with clean cuts only.. i have used mine for my iphone 4s and it simply worked but the fact that you have to cut it with cutter for precise cutting otherwise the receptors might not recognise the sim. hope yours works just fine.. :)

I have received a sim from Giffgaff and had my iphone unblocked from vodafone, when i put the sim in it just says "invalid sim" the sim works in other phones but noy my iphone. Can anybody help with any settings as the Giffgaff company is website only and i cant speak to anyone!
Answer: if it's the 3G phone, then.. Well tbh, it looks like the phone isnt unlocked since thats the usual error people will get if their phone is locked to a network. Be aware that some phones out there are indeed double locked and can be a nightmare when getting them to unlock. Try taking your phone into a shop, clearly the sim is not at fault here because it works in another phone like you say. Is there a US alternative for GIFFGAFF?

Im in desperate need for a prepaid mobile service that provides a (hopefully free) SIM card with unlimited internet.. cheap minutes and cheap texts.. Kind of like Giffgaff Does anyone know of one?
Answer: There most definitely is. This IS the us, though, but pay very close attention to each company's coverage maps, as they vary greatly across this big ole country. There is a huge list at the bottom of the page of my first reference (mobilein.com). Then pick one, after you've made sure you're covered. The best way that I know to decide which to use would be to find a local (to your US address) and ask around (or google search), armed with the names of these companies. Please avoid government websites and chambers of commerce. Useless to this purpose. You could do it the harder way & go via each individual carrier's site and check. Personally, I use Boost Mobile. I use their $2/day plan with unlimited calls, sms & internet. Virgin is very reliable, as are att & tmobile. Stick with what the people around you are using. I'm not sure if your current phone will work here, but if it DOES, you may have to spend $5 for a new sim card.

Has anyone on here ever used GIFFGAFF mobile phone network?

Giffgaff is a mobile phone network hosted, I believe, by O2. Has anyone on here got any first-hand experience of it? Or any reason to think its just a scam? It seems to me to be genuine, I just want to get some more opinions on the matter as I hadnt really heard of it and Id like a bit more security before decide whether Ill switch or not. Answer: im on Giffgaff, it amazing and i love it!! Its the cheapest network out there. I usually get the £10 goodie bag because i text and use the internet more then anything and the Min's are good just in case. I also have my boyfriend and best friend on the network and it really nice to be able to call him for for hours at night for free even when i am out of credit (as long as you top up £10 within 3 months) Its amazing and i would recommend it to you and all your friends. The only problem that i find with it is that you have to top up online or with a voucher (the voucher can be a o2 one as well, it does work) and not over the phone on a card, which i use to do most of the time.

I joined Giffgaff in march this year. A few days after, they sent me a new sim card (to give to a friend) but i never got round to giving it to someone. I still have the sim card. Would it still work if i gave it to someone now?
Answer: Yes it should do and if it doesn’t, just order another one. In fact, you might be better off ordering a new sim so your friend gets £5 free credit and you get £5 payback which you can add to your credit.
