And they havent got the Austin Powers slyness to give their film a hipper edge. But Spice World is pleasant and painless enough to amuse ardent fans, who figure in the film quite often. Change at the Globe Shakespeares Globe Theater in London has named Dominic Dromgoole as its artistic director, succeeding Mark Rylance when he leaves at the end of the year. Scary Spice can sing. Sporty Spice can dance (or at least do high kicks). Baby Spice and Posh Spice are passable at both tasks. And competence is all the four Spice Girls need to activate the most cleverly conceived and slickly marketed pop package since Madonna showed them the blueprints. At the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, N.J. on Thursday night, on a tour that will bring them to Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, the Spice Girls smiled and strutted their way through a pageant of what might be called buy-me feminism. For a sold-out house filled with little girls, like an elementary-school assembly with parents invited, the Spice Girls worked the stage like a fashion-show runway. Through nearly a dozen costume changes, they touted girl power: a mandate to enjoy female bonding, push men around, wear snazzy clothes and sell things along the way.. Francine Cousteau said her husband would have wanted National Geographic to produce the movie because it had long supported and promoted his work through television shows and its magazine. It took no more than 38 seconds for fans of the Spice Girls to snap up all the tickets for their reunion concert on Dec. 15 at the 20,000-seat O2 arena in London, the BBC reported. So the five performers have added three more London dates, on Dec. 16 and 18 and Jan. 2. Fans were alerted to the sales by text and e-mail messages. Naturally, tickets for the Dec. 15 concert are already being offered on eBay. Originally priced at $112 to $153, one pair was being advertised at $1,840. The Spice Girls world tour begins in Vancouver on Dec. 2 and ends in Buenos Aires on Jan. 24. The full Spice Girls lineup has not performed onstage since Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) quit in May 1998.. Miley Cyrus, 14, better known as the star of the Disney Channels Hannah Montana show, has proved herself no slouch in the ticket department either, The Associated Press reported.
